Common School Questions & Answers
- Q. What does it cost to sign up for lessons?
- A. Our 8 week introductory lessons cost $168.00. After 8 weeks, if you decide to continue studying the same instrument, cost is based on the number of weeks remaining until the end of our teaching season in mid June. Please call us for prices at (705)946-1981
- Q. What is the right age for beginning music lessons?
- A. We believe that it's never too early to get started. Our Kindermusik program offers classes for newborns and up to age seven. Regular instrument studies can be started as young as age 5 or 6 in many circumstances, although every child is unique and the best way to determine readiness is by starting with an 8 week trial. Our trials also provide the opportunity to try different instruments before enrolling in full-time studies.
- Q. Am I too old to start learning a new instrument?
- A. Absolutely not! Music can be a gift at any age. In fact, we encourage older generation's exploration of music as a means of staying youthful. Young, old, experienced or not, give us a call! We'll be happy to address any questions or concerns you might have.
- Q. What if I don't have my own instrument?
- A. We have acoustic and electric guitars as well as keyboards and violins available for rent to enrolled students, however in most other cases the student will need to have their own instrument. Practice pads for drumming students are available for purchase in our store. If you need to purchase a new instrument, we offer a wide range of almost anything you might need. If we don't have it, we can order it. Check out our Music Store page for more details.
